Mission, Vision and Values
Open Arms International is an international humanitarian and development organization dedicated to raising children in Africa and India orphaned by AIDS, civil warfare, disease or other tragedy to reach their full potential. Open Arms also works with families and their communities ravaged by poverty, disease and injustice so that they might have hope for a brighter future. Open Arms serves all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, tribe or gender. Open Arms was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Portland, USA with affiliate offices in Manchester, England and Eldoret, Kenya. The organization currently serves in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Mozambique and India.
Our mission is to provide relief from physical, emotional, and spiritual suffering through medical expertise and Christian ministry.
Our vision is to see every stomach filled, every wound healed, every body safe, every mind educated, every emotion soothed, and every spirit transformed.
Our Values
We are a Christian organisation and we endeavour to reflect those values through all we do as we serve alongside the poor, the oppressed, the afflicted and the forgotten, to fight for the cause of justice on behalf of those who are too weak to fight, to love all people equally without prejudice or conditions and to share with all people God’s gift of love and reconciliation available through Jesus.
