Join Our Prayer Team

The prayer coordinator for Open Arms US is Karen MacLean, who is based in Portland, Oregon. She has been a friend to Open Arms International for more than 20 years and is passionate about bringing dedicated intercessors together for the purpose of lifting up focused, directed ministry prayer concerns to God. Together, Helen and Karen identify and communicate the prayer needs of Open Arms to the UK prayer team. If you would like to be part of our Open Arms Prayer Team, please email helen@openarms.org.uk

General Prayer Requests

• That many people in Africa and India would receive the love of God available through Jesus.
• That God would bless the children and house parents at the Open Arms Village, the people of greater Eldoret, the countries of Kenya and India and the continent of Africa.
• That the people we touch in the U.S., the U.K., in Africa and India, would be strengthened spiritually, physically and emotionally to do God’s work.
• That God would inspire people to contribute to the work of Open Arms: for the building of our Open Arms Village in Kenya, for the care and education of the children at our Village, for our medical and feeding programnmes in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Mozambique and India and for our general office operations.

Specific Prayer Requests

• For the babies that have newly come into our care; that they will thrive under the love and dedication of those looking after them
• That Open Arms will find favour in the local community surrounding our Village and throughout the greater Eldoret area, as we seek to expand our work in various parts of the locality.
• That our team members would be blessed with the wisdom, strength and the talents to serve effectively, in Kenya, UK and US.
• For the dedicated group of skilled craftsman and laborers who are building the Village in Kenya.
• That we receive favour in negotiating agreements with local utilities, engineers and government agencies.
• That Open Arms would be networked with pharmaceutical and medical supply companies so we can receive contributions that are vital for our work.
• For the ongoing process of gaining the correct status to be exempt from VAT duty on goods shipped in to Kenya
