Life Centre

To enhance lives, bring dignity and improve health by providing excellent Christ-centered medical care that focuses on the body, mind and spirit.

Our belief is that God is the ultimate physician and healer - Doctors treat but God heals- thus, the Medical Resource Building will be a beacon of light to those who still do not know Him. Providing comfort to the sick and wounded is an opportunity for OAI to show respect and compassion at a time in a person’s life when they may be more open to accepting and following Christ.

Medical Mission Trips

Mobile medical clinics are an ongoing part of Open Arms' outreach to the Eldoret community since our first visit in 2002. Several times a year, we hold medical and dental clinics in areas where it is needed most. In Kenya, the vast majority of people lack access to basic health care.

Medical Teams Provide:

  • Basic services include blood pressure checks, abscessed tooth extractions, assessing common skin conditions and stomach ailments, and dispensing needed medications. On a busy day, we may treat as many as 1,000 patients!

  • Education regarding good physical and dental hygiene and nutrition, passing out hundreds of tooth brushes and children's vitamins.

  • Evangelistic outreach - We route waiting patients through the prayer tent prior to their entering the diagnostic tent. Many have received immediate and miraculous healing!
