Outreach Teams

Outreach teams have been visiting Open Arms Village for over 13 years and continually evolve to meet the needs of the families in the community we serve. Through medical clinics and ministry projects, outreach teams work with local Kenyans to provide hope within the community.

Medical Teams provide treatment for acute and chronic illnesses including high blood pressure, diabetes, wound care, musculoskeletal pain, stomach ailments, skin diseases, etc.

Ministry Teams serve in a wide variety of projects determined by the strengths and skills of the team members and the specific needs at Open Arms Village. Examples of ministry projects include: Vacation Bible School, pastor training, construction projects, teacher trainings, etc.

Others come out for various reasons. Everybody has a skill or ability that they can give to a team so get in contact and we can talk about what you can do.

We have a number of amazing projects

We partner organisations in and around the area we serve which gives you, the volunteer, a unique insight to ‘real’ Kenya.

You will stay at the Open Arms Village, allowing you to see, first-hand, the impact that our projects make to the lives of the vulnerable. We care deeply about positive impact and we want you to be part of that change.

The cost of the two-week outreach team is £1150 or £995 for under 18’s (excluding flights). This can be paid in instalments, with a deposit of £280 required to secure your place. Full payment is required 6 weeks before the start of your trip. All places are subject to a DBS police check.

"Open Arms was an incredible trip. It was life changing!" Daisy, 2017
